Pokud bydlíte ve velkém městě a les máte dost daleko, pak stín v zahradě je důležitou složkou její ozdravné funkce. Má relativně obrovské listy, rozhodně největší ze všech stromů v mém okolí. Dorůstá za 50 let /zatím u mne / 8 – 10 m výšky. Má velmi zajímavé květy a šišky. Šišky se skvěle hodí do suché vazby. Ničím netrpí, je zcela odolný – vřele doporučuji do velkých zahrad.
